Our client is a tax resident in the UK and Russia. He is an entrepreneur and a shareholder of various companies which are incorporated in different countries, including those of his residence. His family resides in the UK (he has been married for over 10 years). His family situation was stable, but he was facing increasing pressure from his business partners to protect his business assets from possible risks of divorce, so the client decided to enter into a post-nuptial agreement with his spouse.

In order to fulfil this task, we collaborated with our partners in Russia and the UK, due to the family’s connections in both jurisdictions. As a result, the client and his spouse signed two comparable post-nuptial agreements, protecting their interests into the future (whether divorce and financial separation would take place in Russia or the UK).
